laExpose’ In’t Receives Proclamation Award on behalf of International Project
October 22, 2014-Franklin, TN- laExpose’ was selected to receive a Proclamation Award for its Make A Difference Day community service project called Wear Green Day, Ebola Awareness. Mayor Rogers C. Anderson encouraged the community to join hands in the effort. LaVerne Adekunle Founder of laExpose’, accepted the award on behalf of the organization.
laExpose’ international members unite together across the country for this year Make a Difference Day, Saturday October 25, 2014. laExpose’ Vice President and Film Producer, Sunshine Olawore of Shines World Film is set to debut a film devoted to this project Oct.28th.
Make A Difference Day brings millions of Americans together each October to volunteer in their communities.
“Make A Difference Day is a wonderful demonstration of people taking action on behalf of others” said the COO Macaiah Tillman. LaVerne Adekunle Founder of laExpose’ and AmeriCorp Alumi has lead two previous MADD volunteer campaigns and believes Wear Green Day will bring awareness to the needs of Ebola victims. Her CSYC team earned a Points of Light Award for the Community Youth Service Council she Co-founded. “It is a great example of each one reach one.”
